Law of Attraction Challenge Day 24

Remove What Doesn't Make You Happy

Welcome to Day 24 of the Law of Attraction Challenge!  Yesterday, we focused on starting fresh with our beliefs about ourselves and our lives.  We learned how to drop all of our old thoughts and declare ourselves as the person we want to be.  Today, we take a look beyond ourselves and see what in our lives is going great and what has to go!

Quite often do people find themselves doing things in their lives that they really don't enjoy.  We can feel like this is the best option for us, or sometimes we even feel stuck with what we're doing.  I'm here to tell you that you are never "stuck" in anything.  There are always other options for us.

A big one that I hear people say they feel stuck with is the job they're working.  I've found myself in this situation before, too.  I had a job at a large chain home improvement retail store, which was actually paying me a few bucks an hour more than my previous job.  I was enjoying the money I was bringing in, but the job itself was absolutely horrible!  I never received any proper training, so any information I had about the products were from personal experience or what I learned over time by helping customers.  This made my job stressful, because I was constantly being expected to know what I was talking about in my department and I really didn't have all the answers.  My managers constantly put me into situations and assigned me duties that were destructive to my health.  I was not given proper safety equipment and was even refused equipment at times when I asked.  My coworkers were often even less informative than I was and they were a group of very negative people.  They constantly talked about each other behind each others backs and focused on how horrible things were inside and outside of work.  My managers were unkind, put huge workloads on us, and belittled us to make us feel unworthy and lesser than them.  As you can imagine, this was not an enjoyable job to go to.  Even though I was receiving decent money, I was honestly depressed to be working there.  I dreaded going into work and as soon as I walked into the store, my mood would instantly drop.  I remember being able to literally feel the shift of my energy when I walked into this place.

I thought about this situation I was in and eventually decided that this was bringing me down too much and the money just was not worth it.  I was not happy and that's really what counts in life.  I made up my mind and I quit!  I stopped making money for a few weeks, but I knew things would work out and stayed positive.  My mood increased an insane amount knowing I was free from that job!  I went from depressed to feeling pretty friggin good!  I managed to come across a few small jobs and ways to make money that I could enjoy, like working a haunted corn maze around halloween time.  I was able to make enough to hold me over before I made my next big jump and moved to beautiful San Diego!

The point of my story is that your happiness should always come first!  This is your life!  Do things that you enjoy doing!  Don't waste your life feeling depressed for anything, even if it's good money. You can have all the money in the world, but if you're not happy, then you're not happy.  Simple as that.

I hear people often tell me that they feel stuck with where they are.  If you feel this way, I have to be the one to tell you that this is a limiting belief that you set.  There is always something you can do to get yourself out of a bad situation.

Perhaps you have payments that need to be made and can't just quit what you're doing.  If this is the case, you are just going to have to make some time to find your new and enjoyable source of income.  Stay positive and use the power of the law of attraction to bring opportunities to you.  Put yourself out there and open yourself up to options and opportunities that are around.  When you find something new that you can do and enjoy, you will be able to get rid of the old thing that was depressing you.  It may take a little time, but keep in mind that you are actively making a change in your life and be excited that you are on your way to a better and more fulfilling life!  We are never stuck!  We just have to make that conscious decision that we are going to do something about our situation and change our lives for the better!

Most of this page was based around removing a job, but this doesn't limit it just to removing a bad job.  Removing things that you don't enjoy could be about anything!  If you have a group of friends that enjoy doing things that don't really interest you, you don't have to spend your time doing them! This is just as bad and isn't making you happy.  Focus more on spending time doing the things you actually enjoy!  If none of your friends like doing what you like to do, you can make new friends who don't hold you back.  Always be happy with what you are doing!  That is really what is going to count in life.

Your Tasks:

  • Think about if there is anything in your life that you don't enjoy doing.

  • If there is, make the decision that you are going to fix it!

  • Go out and do the things you enjoy!  Life is for fun!
