Entrepreneur Journey Part 1 - "The Intro"

It's been just about one year since I started the entrepreneur journey. After listening to Building an Empire on audiobook, I was inspired to document the journey. Not only to show the progress and the process, but to help those who are also taking the entrepreneurial path.

Hey, how's it going? This is TJ Kurtyka, and I decided that I wanted to start a video journey for my network marketing business. So today is April 17th, 2018, and I was just listening to a book called Building an Empire by Brian Carruthers. And I'm almost done it right now. He was mentioning something about how he wishes that he had started a journal through his business, that was he could see his progress year after year, and he would also be able to help others if they were trying to go on that journey as well through the ups and the downs.

So, this is the first video. I'm in my room currently. I am 26 years old. I just turned 26 on April 8th, it is the 17th right now, and I'm about a year into my business. So, first year was nice. It was good. I'm thankful I was brought on to a strong team with phenomenal helpful up lines. They have been extremely helpful to me, giving me lots of tips and knowledge, as well as many different recommendations for books to read. I think that it is very important to focus on personal growth for your life in general, but absolutely for your business as well. Say your affirmations to be in a positive and confident state of mind. Make sure you have the proper mindset for getting the job done and you wanna be feeling like you are successful. You wanna be able to take actions that start up here.

So, through my first year, I have completed 2A rank, right, and that is only three sales to qualify, but currently I am at 8 sales total. Little bit of trial and error for sure, but everybody is going to go through that. Making sure that I handle all of my objections and learn how to properly handle objections. Closing sales is something very important to learn, and your up line should definitely be able to teach you that if that is something that you feel is not your strong point, definitely consult with your up lines and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.

So, right now I am still learning and growing, and just sharing water all the time. Bringing little water bottles to friends when they come over, or if I'm going to go out and I see somebody that I know, give them a little bottle of water. Then ask for their information if I don't already have it, and ask them if they'd like some information about what makes the water so cool. So I've been doing that and I'm going to start doing more PBRs, which is Private Business Receptions. I want to start... when I bring somebody else on my team, I want to help them contact their people, and have them come over to their house, so they can check out something new that they just got involved in. Something that they think can help them out.

I've noticed on my team that people are doing more PBRs. My up lines have been doing others do more PBRs and it has been going very well for them. I feel like every time we go to Julie's is really where most people end up closing. So PBRs are definitely important and I'm ready to start doing a lot more of that, as well. Just still sending out texts, trying to schedule get togethers, trying to promote for events, and trying to help people do the same so they can be building their own businesses as well.

Alright I guess that is good for now. This is the first portion of the journey, so I'm about a year into it right now, and I'm going to try to stay consistent with these videos from here on out. Talk to ya soon!
