Saying daily positive affirmations is an essential tool to changing your life right before your eyes. It has been widely accepted by the personal development community that the way you think, as well as the way you speak has a huge influence on your life and how you live it. To see a real change in the world around you, you must first change the way you think about it.
What exactly are affirmations? Stemming from the root word "affirm", affirmations are phrases used to engrave a certain thought into your subconscious as true. Affirmations are usually short statements which you want to change your life to be based around. Your subconscious mind believes whatever is repeated to it enough times, so using daily positive affirmations will train your mind to think and see the world as a place more ideal for you.
When using affirmations, it is important to remember to repeat them every single day. That's why they are daily positive affirmations. The goal is to train your subconscious to see things in a new light. Just like any other aspect of bettering ourselves, we have to stay consistent.
Once again, we are training our subconscious' to think differently. We need to remember to stay consistent every single day with our affirmations. They simply will not work unless done daily. If you use any of the affirmations on this page, make it a point to write down the affirmations that you like most, or bookmark this page for easy access.
The second key point in having your affirmations work is to keep it in a positive context. To explain what I mean by that, let me give you an example. Let's say we are trying to change our mindset to one of a person who is successful with their business. Positive affirmations they may use could be, "I possess the qualities to be very successful with my business", or "My business is successful". The wrong way to say this would be, "I am not bad with my business", or " My business is not failing." These may seem like you are saying a positive phrase, but it's the negative words that will stand out in your affirmation. It's like your brain doesn't even register words like not, won't, don't, can't, etc. Your brain will still hear the word "failing" and that is what you will get.
The third key point to remember when saying your daily positive affirmations is to keep the phrase present. It's the difference between saying, "I want to be confident in social situations" and saying, "I am confident in social situations". Always repeat affirmations that are in the present tense. We can want to be more confident every day, or we can be confident starting now. This is what will bring you results today, not maybe sometime in the future, if ever at all. Affirmations that start with "I am" are always very powerful.
The final key point is last for a reason. This is the most important part of affirming, so I wanted it to be most fresh before you dive into finding your favorite affirmations or creating your own. They final key to affirmations is to really feel them. When we affirm something, it is essential to really feel the truth in the phrase. Say your affirmations with a sense of power. They are true. They are your reality. Really feel that. Visualize your life as it is when your affirmations are true. You are confident in social situations. Your business is successful. Feel the truth in it. This is your reality.
Try to repeat your affirmations every day when you wake up, before you go to bed, and even randomly throughout the day. Really drill into your head these new beliefs. After saying your affirmations for an extended period of time, you will start to see them become your reality. You will start taking action and saying things, as well as being presented with opportunities needed to make your affirmations your reality. The affirmations are to reprogram your subconscious so you feel the affirmation as a true part of you. You will naturally start taking the actions required to make your vision your reality.
