Welcome to Day 17 of the Law of Attraction Challenge! I can't believe 17 amazing days have already gone by. With all of this knowledge we have been learning about the law of attraction, it's easy to forget some of the more basic principals we have been focusing on. Gratitude being one of them. The purpose of this challenge has been not only to share information about the wide range of topics related to the law of attraction, but to also help us ingrain new and better habits into our lives.
Being grateful is something we really should do every single day, regardless of it we want the law of attraction to work for us or not. It just so happens that being grateful also assists us in our success with the law of attraction. Being grateful helps to put our lives into a perspective of thanks and receiving. It feels good to be grateful. It raises our vibration to be grateful and it puts us in a mindset of receiving good things, which we want for the law of attraction.
If you have been slacking on being grateful lately, this is your day to change that habit! It can be easy to get off track and slack, but we all know life is much better with this habit of gratitude.
There is so much for us to be grateful for. If you're feeling down and don't know what to be thankful for, we can always start with the basics. Are we alive and breathing right now? I'm thankful for that! Have we received water and something to eat within the past few days? There are many people on this planet who haven't so I'm very thankful for that. How is your current health? Are you terminally ill? Most likely not, so let's be thankful for that. If we have our health, we have everything. Feel that gratitude and be thankful for that!
Then we can get a little more luxurious and realize that we have some sort of device that gives us internet access and allows us to view pages like the one you are on now. Let's be thankful for that. Do you happen to have a roof over your head right now? Unless you're outside, there's a good chance that you do. And even if you are outside, do you have a roof to go under eventually? I thought so. Give thanks for this luxury.
Do you have any friends or family? Aren't you thankful for them? We can seriously go on and on about the things we have to be thankful for. It is good to do this because it puts us in a better mood to know all of the things we have to be thankful for.
The things listed above are the ones we often take for granted. We assume that these are all just basic necessities to have in life, but realize that many people in the world do not have these things. I'm sure that we can all go even further to find things to be grateful for. I can just look around the room I'm in and see a bunch of things that I have that I'm grateful for having. I'm grateful for my friends, family, relationships, health, nutrition and the money that supplements all of them, but I'm also grateful for the things that happen to me on a day to day basis!
This is an important piece to focus on in terms of the law of attraction, but this gratitude is what really raises our vibrations and sets us up for more success with the law of attraction. Every single day, we have good things happen to us. In my case, today my younger brother texted me to tell me about some things he got. If you recall to the earlier days of this challenge, he was in the hospital just a few weeks ago. I am extremely thankful that he is now back at home, back in a healthy state and continuing his life normally. That makes me feel good.
To be a little more selfish and to show proof of the law of attraction, let's go over another thing I was manifesting from the start of this challenge, which is a new skateboard. I love to skate and do it almost every day so manifesting a new skateboard is very beneficial to me. When we started this challenge, I had a very beat up board. I focused my intent on somehow obtaining a new skateboard. Realize that the past three boards I've owned were somehow given to me. After focusing the law of attraction on a new skateboard, I was skating with some friends and one of my friends tells me he has an extra board that he could sell to me for pretty cheap. Seriously I put out the intent and within a few days I'm offered a discount board. I didn't like the shape of it, though, so I turned down the offer. I was still grateful for that opportunity! And I saw it as a rabbit, referring to our game "Follow the Rabbit". A day or two after that, I was at the skatepark and noticed a deck laying in the grass. It was someones old board and they left it there for anyone to pick up for free. I checked it out and it was a bit too small for me, and although it wasn't as beat up as my current board, it still wasn't as new as I wanted so I didn't take it. I was still grateful, though! Shortly after that, I was skating with a different friend and he shows me he just bought a new board. He tells me I can have his old one, which was a size 8.5! That's the size I was looking for! I talked about this happening back on Day 4. I was grateful for yet another skateboard opportunity, but I really wanted a brand new board of my own. Since then, a friend of mine got a job at a local skate shop. It turns out she can get me a discount on a new skateboard, so I go in to check them out. I get there and find out they are having a 2 for 1 deal on skate decks! Then I got my friends employee discount on top of that! I'm very thankful for that! I originally wanted a new skateboard, and ended up with two brand new boards in the sizes that I wanted. If I held off longer, I know I could've eventually been presented with a brand new skateboard for free, because I've had it happen in the past, but I couldn't pass that deal up when I came across it. I focused my intent, stayed grateful, did things I enjoy doing and was offered quite a few skateboards before getting two at a discounted price! See how powerful this can really be?
There are many other things that come to me in my life that I am grateful for, like the email I randomly received offering free airline miles if I take a survey days after I decide I'm flying back east to see my family for the holidays. There are also money-making opportunities that I get presented with. I am very grateful for them!
Always stay grateful! It feels good to go over the things we are grateful for, as well as makes us realize we actually are receiving things in our lives. As the saying goes, "Have an attitude of gratitude." Write a comment below of the things you are grateful for today!
